Autodesk Vault for BIM - Overview
Cadline’s Quick Start implementation of Autodesk Vault delivers a robust, easy to use, preconfigured tool for managing project data.
This pre-configured platform supports those in both AEC (Architectural, Engineering and Construction) and Infrastructure design environments allowing design teams to better manage their project data and support BIM project delivery if required.
Autodesk Vault Professional is a server based solution that is easy to use for 2D and 3D Cad users as well as Microsoft document controllers who contribute to a project.
Cadline’s team configures the Vault to make it easy for users to successfully manage File Naming, BIM Suitability States and Revision Control across all files and documents relating to the project.
Familiar project file structures are maintained in a friendly user interface and project data is easily searched on and accessed directly from the Autodesk Design tool ribbon so users don’t have to leave their design application to find, open and edit files.
Cadline’s pre-configured Vault supports the PAS 1192 environment so that clients are able to manage files under a BIM project at anytime.
Project data security is managed through User Group permissions allowing Project and BIM managers to control access to files and documents throughout the project lifecycle.
A Vault project folder is synchronised to Autodesk’s cloud based Buzzsaw solution, which is included in the Quick Start implementation, allowing users secure access to collaborate with other project stakeholders.
It’s up to you, but after your Quick Start is complete, choose from additional Vault modules if you want to take Vault to whole new level and one that is highly configured for your business.
