2 THE TEAM Working in the Manufacturing industry since 1985, I have spent several years implementing design solutions and supporting customers in the manufacturing industry both in South Africa and the UK. Originally, as part of Autodesk’s channel support team, I was directly involved with the successful launch of Autodesk’s Inventor product in the UK in the mid-1990’s. Since joining Cadline more than a decade ago I have helped hundreds of clients adopt technology and improve the skills of their engineering teams. In my Industry Team Leader role, I work with our technical team to help customers successfully implement the latest design, analysis and data management tools. My team help manufacturing businesses drive efficiencies in their local and global operations by connecting design teams together across the world. I have been working in the Manufacturing industry since 2005, starting my career as a mechanical engineering apprentice. Since then I have acquired some great experience in a production environment and have developed an in depth knowledge of design automation techniques. My real passion is for extending and connecting software and systems using a variety of scripting and progamming techniques. I am excited by the potential of the cloud and our ability to connect and share engineering data. I have worked in the manufacturing industry since 2006 , using 2D and 3D CAD in several design departments and have first hand experience of what a design team needs to deliver to the customer. I have developed a range of skills that include the ability to help our customers with stress analysis calculations and create efficient workflows for frame generation. Whilst working for a market leading manufacturer of products for the construction industry I developed a unique workflow to ensure customers can contribute to a BIM level 2 compliant project. In my role as product design specialist, I help our customers understand, learn and adopt technologies to solve every day manufacturing challenges. CHRIS TURNER MANUFACTURING TEAM LEADER CONNOR FERGUSON SYSTEM INTEGRATOR PETER MAXWELL-STEWART PRODUCT DESIGN SPECIALIST I started my career in the era of mainframe systems from Digital Computers running 2D CAD Programs on just 128k of memory. I was also part of the personal computer revolution that brought powerful CAD technology like AutoCAD to organisations of all sizes. Most recently I have been involved with the implementation of design and data management technology as it has developed and matured to the sophisticated 3D design and analysis toolset available to our customers today. One of the biggest changes that has been evident in nearly 40 years of change is the amount of data that is now produced, shared and consumed. With my understanding of the manufacturing industry I now use my experience to help customers implement data management and collaboration tools in both their UK and global operations. I have worked in the CAE & CAD industry for more than 20 years specialising in Electrical design. Having worked as an Electrical and Electronics engineer in a number of multidisciplinary environments I am experienced in delivering integrated electrical designs within the manufacturing environment that meets todays exacting standards. I have a detailed knowledge of a variety of electrical CAE systems and work with our customers to solve their specific challenges and to implement electrical design and data management solutions with our clients. I have been working in manufacturing for a number of years within a sector where good data management was essential. With a degree in Mechanical Engineering I have subsequently developed a range of skills in new product design and development. I now specialise in design automation, product configuration, enhanced data management and work with clients to create efficient business processes and workflows in the cloud. I help our customers to implement solutions that marries the world of IT and engineering and teach engineers how to get the most from the technology in their individual environments.
